Admiral Nursing service is now operational in Brent.  This is a 2-year pilot project being funded by Brent ICP together with Dementia UK.  CNWL NHS Trust are the host organisation.

There are currently 2 Admiral nurses in post, the Brent Admiral nurse service is based within the Brent Memory Service at Fairfield’s House.

Admiral nurses are specialist dementia nurses who are supported and developed by Dementia UK. They support Families affected by all types of dementia across all age groups including young onset dementia.

Admiral Nurses also provide education and raise awareness in Dementia care through sessions on Understanding Dementia for Carers / Families and to enhance the skills and knowledge of other healthcare professionals in Dementia Care.
