YOUNG CARERS SERVICE MANAGER
£30,000 p.a. pro rata plus 3% pension contribution
21 hours per week
We are looking for someone with previous relevant experience to promote and manage the overall work of the Brent Young Carers Service (BYCS) and to lead on development and implementation of existing and future plans for the service, promoting the needs of young carers to funders, statutory bodies and the wider community. To co-ordinate, lead, develop and sustain Brent Young Carers Service for Young Carers, this includes the provision of advice, information & support, co-ordinating activities, training and peer support. Experience in advice giving on Welfare Benefits is highly desirable. Training on Welfare Benefits advice with be provided.
YOUNG CARER SUPPORT OFFICERS X 2
£24,000 p.a. pro rata plus 3% pension contribution
28hrs per week
To act as a point of contact for young carers and to provide them with information, advice and support and a range of advice on benefits and carer entitlements. Training on Welfare Benefits advice with be provided.
You will work directly with young carers aged 5 and up to achieve positive outcomes, identifying and preventing inappropriate caring responsibilities through assessments ensuring that young carers and their families have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs. You will also work to support the delivery of our young carer’s activities programme.
We are looking for someone who has a real passion about our mission and with proven ability in communicating sensitively with children, young people and their families. You will have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in the use of IT. You will need to be available for occasional evening and weekend work.

We are looking for a Volunteer Digital Champion
Working flexibly up to 4hrs Weekly
Successful candidates will be supported to deliver digital skills training in the community. Previous experience operating smart phones, laptops and computers, downloading apps, setting up emails, internet etc. is desirable!
. We are looking for individuals interested in helping to support individuals on a 1/2/1 basis or in small groups to learn how to use technology to improve their health & wellbeing.
Training provided and all out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed
