The Finance Manager will be a key member of the Senior Management Team responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the charity and its subsidiaries. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will lead on budgeting, reporting on the financial performance to management and the Finance Committee. We are looking for someone with relevant qualifications, extensive financial experience and advanced Sage & MS Excel skills with the ability to analyse, manipulate and extract data. You will need to be a hands-on Finance Manager able to work autonomously and hit the ground running.

Brent Carers Centre is the only local charity in London Borough of Brent that provides family carers living in Brent, or caring for a person living in Brent, with an extensive range of information and advice services on all aspects of their caring responsibilities. Our vision is “To ensure that unpaid carers are recognised, valued and supported to live rather than just exist.”
We are seeking to appoint new Trustees to fill current and forthcoming vacancies on the Board, who will add value and make a contribution to the overall direction of the organisation. Trustees are responsible for the governance of the Centre, setting its strategic direction, monitoring its performance and prioritising its role and activities. As volunteers, Trustees receive no payment for their contribution to the Centre.
We welcome people from the widest possible diversity of background, culture and experience to help ensure that the Board is representative of the communities we serve.
We are looking for people with Business Management, Finance, HR (Personnel), Fundraising and Marketing skills.

Volunteering Opportunities with Brent Carers Centre
Job Type: Admin support, Social media support and Counsellors
Job Location: Brent
Brent Carers Centre offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities for Carers. Volunteers are a valuable resource in the delivery of Brent Carers Centre services.
Anyone can volunteer. It does not matter what your skills, experience or background are, or how much time you have to give. Even if you only have a couple of hours a week to spare, we will have something to suit you, for as long as you are available.
In return you get the satisfaction of time and effort well spent doing something worthwhile. In addition, volunteering can be a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and gain useful experience. You will also find it enjoyable.
As a volunteer you will receive:
- Payment of out-of pocket expenses (such as travel);
- A clear idea or written outline of the role to be undertaken; and
- Appropriate training and support.
We are currently seeking volunteers for the following roles:
- Office Administration
- Social Media Communications
- Counsellors (qualified or in their final year of training to join our counselling service for carers).
