Having successfully supported carers for 25 years in the Borough, Brent Council will no longer fund us to support family and other unpaid carers in the borough. Whilst this has been devastating news for both staff and carers, we will NOT be closing.
We will continue to provide services to carers who are supporting people living with mental health conditions and dementia, along with some other services. We hope to raise enough funds to build on these services.
There will still be carer support services in the borough provided by another organisation. But many of the existing support services that carers need will no longer be available.
Therefore we are asking carers and the public to get behind us and support our crowdfunding appeal. We want to continue to deliver meaningful carers support services which we know carers value and rely on.
Please support Brent Carers Centre by making a donation of whatever you can afford on the link below:
We are looking to raise a target of £20,000 by 4.10pm on 26 November 2019.
Please also share this link with your friends, colleagues, family and local businesses.
