A new report commissioned by the government has led to the development of new resources to help social services, providers and frontline staff better support ageing unpaid carers plan for a future when they are less able to care.

The report found that the majority of unpaid carers surveyed do not have a plan in place for a future when they are less able to care.  Unpaid carers said that getting support for the day-to-day challenges of caring took priority over the longer-term future.  To read more click here.
