Brent Parent Carer Forum (BPCF) is Brent Council’s official independent support group for families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). BPCF works with the council and other organisations to help design and develop services that improve the lives of children and young people with SEND and allow them to reach their potential.
BPCF encourages parents to have a voice and to raise awareness of their children’s needs by taking part in discussions and consultations with the council, schools and health providers.
The forum is free to join and open to all Brent parents and carers of children and young people with SEND up to the age of 25.
Brent SENDIASS is funded by Brent Council and a grant from the Department for Education.
Its role is to empower parents and families of children with SEND to have the confidence and ability to take an active and informed role in their children’s education. They offer impartial and confidential advice, separate from the council, covering educational matters, social care and health entitlements.
